Fans of Bonanza have seen and poured over every episode but what else is there to watch when you tire of your favorite show? Here’s a list of decent westerns you may find rerunning on your DIRECT.TV if you look through the channels hard enough
3:10 to Yuma: Out in the last few years, 3:10 is one of the best westerns we’ve ever seen, period. It’s got an all star cast and a heck of a plot and the violence and cinematography is exactly what you’d expect from a period-perfect piece.
Broken Arrow: Made all the way back in 1950, Broken Arrow got a lot of critical acclaim for its portrayal of life in the west. It starred James Stewart and had some of the best horse chase scenes in the history of the genre so it’s worth a second look.
True Grit: The original came out in the 1960s but it’s since been remade into an Oscar nominated flick. If you like deeper story and less action, this is the film you’re going to want to seek out.
